UNSEEN

The weather was cold and the sky looked pale, it was wailing in nature's baritone. I adjusted my bag pack and glanced at my wrist watch. It was just 9pm and the streets were already quiet.
I walked down recalling what happened  earlier at the camp I visited. The way the dogs barked wildly behind me and what the old security man said to me when he came to calm the dogs down. "They see things we don't see." He said to me.
" Ok? things like..." I replied
"Supernatural things, spirits" he said.
I smiled at him in disbelief and replied " wow! That sounds interesting"
He stopped what he was doing and looked at me then he nodded his head and said " You won't know. The director is waiting for you inside"
I thanked him for calming the dogs and I went to meet the director.
I reached my apartment and unlocked my door. Two cats ran out. What! I had no cat and I sure didn't leave my windows open. How did they get in?
I dropped my bag, removed my jacket and went straight to my kitchen to put noodles on fire to cook. There was a knock on my door. It was already 10:12pm, who might be at the door? I asked who was at the door and silence replied. I picked up courage and opened the door and there was no one. Wait, two cats were on the short guava tree beside the well. I flashed my light and saw their soft yellow neon coloured eyes staring at me boldly. Wind blew and my neighbours dog began to bark. I ran in and locked my door with all the locks. I was petrified. I turned to go to the kitchen when something held me, it reached for my neck and began to choke me from behind. I began to cough seriously pleading for my young life.
"We are as real as you are" a voice said.
I nodded in agreement with red tear-filled eyes. It finally let me go and I fell gasping for breath. It broke my door open and fresh air rushed in.
"Khalid, Khalid" I heard a voice call me "do you want to kill us?"
I opened my eyes and I was in the clouds; clouds of smoke. What!? Wait, my noodles!
